The location of the stay was very beautiful, neat and clean. The host was very humble, helpful, and soft-spoken. I highly recommend staying at her place.
Story of the Street
Lebuh Acheh is almost as old as the George Town city itself. The name is given due to the Acehnese community that lived there.
It is the area of the earliest Malay community in George Town. The street became known as the second Jeddah, as pilgrims gathered here to await ship to Jeddah. This is also where the Achenese Godown is located, the first four-story building located in town, owned by Tengku Syed Hussain Al-Aidid, who also founded the Acheen Street Mosque in 1808.

You can use gugel search and you will find it around our unit. Also take a chance to visit interesting areas such as Padang kota Lama (4 minutes drive, and 13 minutes walk), Batu Feringghi (45 minutes drive), Penang Hill (25 minutes drive). Which is all easy for you to go.
My name is Esther and I was born and raised in this small town called Bukit Mertajam in the state of Pulau Pinang (Mainland), in Malaysia. My family and my friends have called me a ‘typical traveller’ because I would travel whenever I have free time and whenever I could afford it, whether it is inside the country or overseas, I’d turn my backpack into a luggage and travel as a backpacker. People would often ask me, “why travel so much when you can have free time to relax and just chill during the holidays and save money?” Well, my response would be, “humans were born to drift around the world and seven wonders were built to be discovered.” It’s a fact, isn't it? We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us. I don’t care whether the place that I visit is a small town that is known by no one or it is New York City / London / or other well-known places, I just go. Why travel to unknown places? I love great challenges like getting lost in places that I’ve never been to, that’s what discovery means. Beyond that, I enjoy discovering places that are unique and non-mainstream, it enables me to write my own story and create pieces of memory like puzzles that I could put together and they last forever. There’s a saying goes, “The tan will fade but the memories will last forever.” Whenever I travel, I would look for a place that I called “home” because I have been living in my house for more than 20 years, therefore I will not live in a shelter that I can’t call home. Bukit Mertajam, a place that is not well-known in international level, but is definitely a quite popular region nationwide. I’d dare to say that this place will create a chain of memories like those little puzzles that you are able to put together and it will definitely last forever in your life. Last but not least, be sure to learn to travel because travel creates a lifetime memory that will for sure live with you for the rest of you lives.
