FREE Wifi - super fast fibre connection. Best sea views on the property! Fully equipped 4 sleeper unit with 1 bedroom and ensuite shower and toilet. Comfortable double bed in main bedroom and 2 single beds in main living area. There is only 1 bathroom in this apartment - the ensuite bathroom in the main bedroom. Main living area : two single beds, TV and fully equipped kitchenette and geared towards comfort and relaxation with a cosy, homely feel. Deck leading off from main living area looking towards the sea. This apartment is part of our popular and well established accommodation establishment with self catering apartments as well as budget backpacker cabins, spread over two properties, which we have owned and run for over 17 years. Ours is a comfortable, no frills, unpretentious and much loved establishment. As our apartments are nestled among the backpacker cabins, it allows for an awesome cosmopolitan atmosphere - you are bound to meet and chat with interesting people! Feels like a permanent holiday!

Lovely location
This was a great place to stay. I can imagine it being more of a vibe outside of travel restrictions. Very close to the beach and a pleasant way to spend a couple of days off looking at the ocean. I just wish they provided towels.
I stayed with my sister and parents for one night at the Ocean View cottage. For my parents, it was a bit small and should have had aircon. However, the place is presented in the add as a backpacker's paradise, and in my opinion it does fulfill what it promises. In addition, the staff is super friendly and flexible, as well as Tash. She cares a lot about her guests feeling comfortable and having a great vacation. :)
This apartment is perfect for the young, adventurous, backpacker type. The view is amazing and staying here with a group of friends would be ideal. The complex has a super cool, hipster vibe and the staff there is amazing. Waking up to the breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean was the best part about the stay.

The Bluff is a lovely suburb south of Durban with a fantastic seaside holiday feel, just a quick 13-15 kilometers drive from the Durban city centre, the International Convention Centre (ICC), Sports Stadiums and Ushaka Marine World.
We love that we are so close to the city, yet far enough away to live in and experience our beautiful natural coastline - no concrete jungle!
3 shopping centers all close by, and the large Gateway, Galleria and Pavillion malls are all within easy distance. Golf course within walking distance.
Close to all major hospitals, ICC, Moses Mabhida Stadium, UShaka Marine World (all within 15 km radius).
Drakensberg Heritage Site, St Lucia and Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve, Midlands Meander, Nelson Mandela Capture Site, Inanda Heritage Route are all within 1-3 hour drive from here.
It is a great place to base yourself while doing many day trips – either to the south or to the game parks up north. The great thing about where we are situated is that we are close enough to the city so that you can come back after a day in the concrete jungle and relax by the poolside in our tropical garden or go for a late afternoon swim in the sea or walk on the beach and explore the many rock pools, particularly at low tide when the rock pools are exposed.
The sunrises here are amazing – there is nothing better than arming yourself with a steaming cup of coffee or tea in the morning and either sit on the bench in the garden or take a walk down the drive to watch the sun rise.
Playful dolphins and whales are a regular sight here at Ansteys. Our beaches are lifeguard protected and there are shark nets. We love it here and we are sure you will too!
We do have regular shuttle/transfer services for our guests at very competitive rates, and Uber is also often used by our guests
Our friendly reception staff can assist you with great car hire deals or shuttles/transfers so please ask if you need more info - they are here to help you!
It is recommended that you have your own transport, but there is a municipal bus service (though not always reliable).

Hi there! We are Tash and Rudy Palmboom. We are a happy, easygoing family who have run our establishment for over 22 years and we genuinely love what we do. We have 2 grown children - our daughter owns and runs the popular Heidi's Café on our premises & our son is overseas. We have extended 'family' members all over the world - over the years we have added many more additions to our family through guests who have arrived here at Ansteys as guests and who have left as family. Some have even met their future families here at Ansteys! Because our accommodation options are so diverse, we meet people from all walks of life and it makes for a truly wonderful, exciting and very cosmopolitan mix -we love it!
