Aberfeldy is a pretty, lively town in Highland Perthshire.
The town is situated on Scotland's longest river, the River Tay, and is home to The Birks of Aberfeldy, made famous by our national bard Robert Burns. Burns wrote a poem about The Birks in 1787 and you can follow the footpaths for 2 miles up to the Falls of Moness, where you will discover a spectacular waterfall and beautiful woodland, a short walk from Annie's Flat. For those who want a more challenging walk, Aberfeldy is within a short drive of two local munros, Schiehallion and Lawers.
The town is home to Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery which is open throughout the year for a tour and a dram, they have a cafe which is open to the public. You can also enjoy the unique experience of Aberfeldy Watermill, a bookshop, café and gallery housed in a listed former watermill. For those holidaying in the area I can also recommend "Dows", situated below Annie's Flat for wonderful homemade ready meals, produced on the premises. There are numerous bars, restaurants, cafes and shops in the town, all within a short walk.
You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor adventures in this area. There are plenty local activity providers who can take you white water rafting, abseiling, gorge walking, canyoning, fishing, mountain biking or even a bungee jump! We are also home to a nine hole golf course, tennis courts, bowling green, swimming pool, squash and badminton courts and for the younger ones, there is a putting green, climbing wall (Aberfeldy leisure centre) and we can highly recommend "Wee Adventures" for a fun, activity filled day.
There is a fully restored Art Deco Cinema in the town square where you can watch the latest films and live events. The local tourist information centre is also situated in the square, there you will find an abundance of information on activities and attractions for the wider Perthshire area.

From A826, turn right at traffic lights on Crieff road onto Bank street. Through The Square, take second exit on mini roundabout onto Dunkeld Street. From A827(Grantully)drive along breadalbane terrace onto Dunkeld Street. From A827(kenmore), drive along Kenmore Street to traffic lights, straight on through bank street, Through The Square, take second exit on mini roundabout onto Dunkeld Street.
Travel from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports is approximately 90mins by car.
Annie’s Flat is situated next to the post office/keystore above “Dows” the shop. There is limited 1hr free on street parking outside the property There is a large free car park situated behind the coop which is 1 minute walk from the property.
