100 Degree Nightmare Check-in: Absolutely atrocious. Grabbed the access card per instructions from the lobby mailbox. Did not work to go up in elevator at all. Immediately sent a message to host and did not receive a response for a good 30-40 minutes. Bear in mind, the lobby of the building does not have A/C and it was 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Bangkok. It got to the point I had to contact Airbnb to get their support. The host should always be on hand until they know their guests have checked-in without issue. Was partially resolved after being in the scorching heat in the lobby for an hour. Told to to use the staff service elevator and use a manual key to unlock unit door. This is where the next issue happens. Concierge Aggression: Airbnb isn’t officially allowed in this building and guests are told to keep it hush. Due to having to use service elevator, concierge got nasty with us and accused us of not being guests since we didn’t have a working access card. Horrible experience.

The room was clean and tidy, and the host provided complete amenities and gave us clear instructions for the check-in and check-out process. Maybe next time the host can help the guest to store their luggage in the reception area or the room.
