We had the most peaceful, wonderful weekend at Woodpeckers Cottage. It was genuinely one of the best places we've stayed (I was there with my other half and our two senior dogs), with a couple of secure fields for them to run about in. Also, there are no carpets so we didn't have to panic about muddy paws, which was good considering the rain on our last day! It's a small but cosy cottage. Jacqui and David were perfect hosts and made us feel so welcomed and at ease. And the homemade cake on arrival can only be described as perfection! The view is of rolling hills, with the sea in the far distance. You're surrounded by nature and it's just a lovely, happy place. And we got to see the woodpecker just outside! Also, it's really close to the seaside so we went for a lovely day out in Robin Hood's Bay. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay x

Such a beautiful place to stay, we were welcomed with home made cake (not to mention, cake to die for - the best lemon drizzle cake we have ever tried!) fresh milk in the fridge and a lovely little letter with information about the starts and the tide. We felt very at home and very welcomed by Jacqui & David, who where very responsive hosts. There was lots of information provided with things to do around the area, walks & beaches to visit which we found very useful. Some lovely walks & views right from the cottage that we and the dogs enjoyed, it very peaceful. The cottage was very quaint & comfortable with some great little touches - we had so much fun using the binoculars to look at the wildlife & the stars. Such a lovely experience & we can’t wait to book again, thank you both !

Jacqui and Dave were very good hosts. Very helpful and friendly. The cottage was very clean and peaceful the views were lovely. Lovely touches with the lemon cake (yummy) fresh milk and dog treats ect. Have recommended to a friend .Perfect for walkers , ramblers ect.

we had such a lovely few nights here. Originally booked for two nights but Jacqui messaged and said it was available if we wanted to tag an extra night on and we are so glad we did! it's nice a secluded but beautiful countryside views, you can even see the sea! Looking at the stars on an evening was lovely too. Jacqui, her husband and many dogs were there to greet us when we arrived! you are in easy reach of lovely beaches and plenty of walks. we were there to relax as we prepare for the arrival of our first baby and it's definitely an easy place to do that. the place itself was nice and cosy, very clean and had everything you need. also the cake was delicious!

We had a lovely stay and the view from the guesthouse was amazing. Would definitely recommend for those wanting a peaceful trip away. The trip was also booked for a birthday and there was a birthday card waiting when we got there, which was a lovely touch!
