Wren's Nest, a separate apartment on the upper level of Craven carriage house, is walking distance to downtown restaurants. The patio is a common space for all guests. Enjoy the ambiance, the outdoors space, the neighborhood, all the comforts of home. The carriage house is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. This unit is for adults over 18 only. NOTE: Guests must be 25 yrs old+ to rent. An extra cleaning is required for guests staying a month. A $50 charge will apply. This carriage house has 2 separate apartments. Upstairs, the one you are viewing here is called Wren's Nest, and the downstairs apt is called Sweetgrass which is also listed on airbnb. Guests in the Wren's Nest are invited to enjoy the patio outside as well.

Ellen's place was perfect in every way. It is beautiful, charming and warm. The apartment is exquisitely furnished. Our hostess was so welcoming it made us feel at home immediately. If we ever need a future airbnb in Beaufort this would be our first choice. You could not find anything to meet high standards of this airbnb.
My family really enjoyed walking around in old town. The house was amazing, absolutely no complaints about the house or amenities. I would definitely stay again.

The carriage house sits on our property one block from the Beaufort river and marina. You will be surrounded by historic houses and 200 year old oak trees draped with spanish moss. Go back in a time steeped with Southern history.
Most places one can walk, but there are many lovely destinations to drive.

Mike is a retired architect and I (Ellen) have been a portrait painter for the last 20 years. In 2012 we bought this property and renovated all of the buildings. Beaufort is such a magical place and we love the historical architecture and abundant history that comes with living here.
