This house was built in 1890 at the beginning of the “golden era” of Davos (1885 – 1935) when this little city became a popular place, worldwide renowned for its pulmonary sanatoriums. It is a witness to this interesting and vibrant epoch. It is located at the center of Davos Platz, only a 6 minutes’ walk from the train station “Davos Platz”. You reach the closest bus stops within a 2 minutes’ walk and Jakobshorn Talstation within a 7 minutes' walk. Hot Water: The 200-liter hot water boiler of this 2.5 room apartment provides sufficient hot water for two people for a day. If more guests are using the sanitary arrangements at the same time, we would highly recommend to mind the shower time. Isolation/noise: Given that this is an old building, the insulation system does not meet modern noise requirements. Reason why we kindly ask your thoughtfulness to avoid unnecessary noise to the possible extent. Please note that from 22:00h the law requires all occupants of apartment houses to strictly respect sleep-time. Heating system: Whilst the ancient cast iron heaters provide a greater amount of heat than any ordinary heater of today, the thermostats of the old heaters – except for the one in the sleeping room – do not allow gradual increase of the temperature. Thus, by turning the thermostat the radiator is either turned on or off. Electric heater on veranda/porch: Since there is no heating system on the veranda/porch we provide a little electric heater as courtesy. Please make always sure the heater is turned off and the cable unplugged when leaving the apartment.
