Our self catering accommodation is in an 800 year old converted monastery situated 5 minutes drive from the Renaissance town of Montepulciano, renowned for its Vino Nobile wines, close to art and culture, with great views, restaurants, coffee bars and enotecas. Our local area is a paradise for hikers, cyclists, joggers or simply walking through the incredible Tuscan country side that offers memorable sights of farmland, forests and rolling hills. Apartment 1 - Caravaggio, Michelangelo Merisi Maximum: 4 people - 2 bedrooms - Ground floor entrance The private entrance leads directly from the lawn garden and olive groves furnished with comfortable chairs and a table where morning breakfast or dinner al fresco in the evenings can be enjoyed. During the hot summers, there is a centennial pine tree to relax under the shade of the branches 5 meters from the entrance of Caravaggio. On entering the open plan living room and kitchen you will find a rustic Tuscan wooden dining table and chairs for 4 people and a comfortable sofa set and coffee table. The lounge has a Biodynamic fireplace that heats the whole area during the cooler out of season evenings. Satellite TV and WIFI has been installed for your convenience. The décor is simple Tuscan countryside style with high ceilings made from terracotta brick and wooden panels. The two bedrooms are furnished with late eighteenth century furniture, orthopaedic mattresses and Egyptian cotton bed and bathroom linen. One bedroom has a double bed and the second, two single beds that can be united to form a double. The views from the master bedroom overlooks the gardens, olive groves and forest whilst the second bedroom has wonderful views of the Valdichiana and lakes in the distance. The bathroom consists of a toilet, shower, double sink and bidet.

The historic town of Montepulciano boasts some of the greatest Renaissance architecture and is renowned for its Vino Nobile wines, art, culture, incredible Tuscan cuisine with a large selection of restaurants, coffee bars and enotecas. Within a short drive from our accommodation you will enjoy visiting natural hot spas such as Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni, Chianciano Terme and spectacular historic fortified towns and villages such as Pienza, Montalcino, Monticchiello, San Quirico, Cortona, Siena, Montefollonico and many more....
We recommend a car to sight see and visit all the magical medieval, renaissance and historic towns and villages, as well as wineries, natural thermal spas and museums that southern Tuscany has to offer.
The closest train station with direct intercity trains from Rome or Florence is CHIUSI - CHIANCIANO TERME Train station. Car hire is available with prior bookings from the station.

Rome Ciampino - Mainly used by charter flights; Ciampino is also situated on the outskirts of Rome and is roughly about 1 hour and 45 mins / 2 hour drive to Sant' Antonio.

Nico Pannevis Nico spent the 1st 18 years living in different countries, predominantly in Kenya and Tanzania where his father Jimmy was a hotelier and grandfather Angelo a coffee producer. This provided Nico at a young age with personal experience in the hospitality sector and learnt to speak 6 languages. In 1989 Nico left Africa to follow in his father’s footsteps and further his studies in England where he graduated in Guilford and worked for renown establishments such as The Savoy Hotel, The Ritz Hotel, Mandarin Oriental and The Capital Hotels Ltd. in London. Nico has always embraced sport which has been part of his life since childhood. He co-founded Purosangue Athletics Club & Foundation promoting clean sportsmanship with a big NO to doping on an international level. The club scouts, coaches and manages elite athletes that compete internationally. In 1997 he was awarded the Acorn Award as young entrepreneur in Great Britain in the restaurants and hospitality industry after which he moved back to his “Italian Roots” to start his own business and new journey with his wife Elena. Elena Falvo Elena, born in Rome, she spent the 1st part of her life living amongst the grapevines in Tuscany between Montepulciano and Cortona. Her father Ettore, a renowned wine producer; founder and former producer of Avignonesi winery taught her the ropes in viticulture. A change in her career took her to the University of Perugia to study veterinary medicine however her passion for wine brought her back into viticulture and in 1994 she went to London to study at “The Wines and Spirit Education Trust". In London Elena became the wine buyer for The Ritz Hotel and furthered her career in wine marketing with Enotria Wine Cellars. Both Nico & Elena’s common passion for wine, food, enjoyment and travel placed them on an inseparable path and they now live together with their 2 children - Sofia, Filippo and Boxer dog “Caio” at Sant’ Antonio. Elena’s colourful touch in interior decorating and green thumb for gardening has turned Sant’ Antonio into a Tuscan pearl for guests to enjoy.
