As soon as we walked into Bev's apartment we felt completely at home: all areas spacious, clean and comfortable; tastefully furnished and decorated; very comfortable bed with good quality bed linen; well stocked kitchen and bathroom (the complimentary grocery supply was really appreciated). The apartment is in a lovely area and within walking distance of Altrincham and the public transport link to surrounding towns including Manchester - we were down visiting family. This meant we didn't have to use our car at all and were able to park it in Bev's driveway for the duration. The town has lots to offer - good shops including the market, restaurants and coffee shops. Bev is a first class host, on hand during our stay with any questions we had and quick to reply when messaging. Particularly appreciated the easy directions she gave us on account of the closed roads for the Manchester Marathon. Highly recommend booking Ivybank - we'll be back!

Bev is the most amazing host, If you have forgotten something she will probably have it to hand.. Was provided with crumpets and red wine,amazing care and attention to detail. Place is lovely Bedding was fab,and bed super comfortable .
Fantastic, cozy basement apartment. Very private and quiet. Well equipped kitchen which for me is a major advantage. Would definitely book again if I was in the area.

We are a couple who have travelled extensively. We continue to travel as much as we can and enjoy staying in alternative accommodation. We have set up home in Altrincham and have converted the basement of our Victorian house into a private modern and comfortable space for friends, family and guests. We are both from the the North West and can offer advice and tips about the surrounding area. We enjoy hosting. We welcome suggestions and feedback and aim to give good value and an alternative from hotel accommodation.
