We had a wonderful stay at the Hummingbird Cottage! Wayne was an attentive and friendly host and even dropped by with freshly picked Zuchini from his garden. The house is spacious and immaculately kept. The grounds are beautiful and far enough away from the road that you don't hear any traffic... or so the neighbours don't hear noisy kids lol. There is ample hot (HOT) water and a large bathtup. The porch is to die for (and has a place to hang wet items that is perfect after a day at the beach). If you are a nature lover, there are birds galore - bring your binocs!. The beach (which is a 5 minute walk with little ones - down a long driveway with a big hill) is quite sandy (not rocky) at this location. Wayne provides a wagon and there are chairs already waiting at the beach. Kincardine is only a 10 minute drive, which is great for dinner out, or that ingredient you forgot to pick up. Our stay at the Hummingbird cottage was wonderful. It was a short walk from our family cottage but was much more comfortable with all the space and air conditioning. The covered back porch is a wonderful spot to hang out with family. We loved saying “hi” to the goats every time we walked to the beach. It was easy to have our toddler stay with us. And Wayne was friendly and helpful to communicate with! We will definitely stay at Wayne’s place again if our cottage gets too crowded.

A paradise just off the beach. Wayne is such a grounded person who has nurtured this oasis from the ground up to create a retreat with all you could ever want. Games galore to keep us entertained, a quiet sandy beach all to ourselves. You can’t ask for more with this getaway oasis. Just minutes to Downtown Kincardine.

The Hummingbird Cottage was beautiful. About a 5 minute walk from the beach. Wayne was a friendly and helpful host. We're definitely booking for next year!

We were party of 6, stayed at Wayne's cottage Humming Bird for a week. Our stay was amazing. The cottage is amazing, spacious, clean and sits on gorgeous lot, close to the beach. It was relaxing to sit on front deck or the back covered deck and relax with a cup of coffee. The kitchen was fully equipped and the grill was handy flip burgers for the kids. Overall very good relaxing week we had at Wayne's cottage. The beach in from of the cottage goes deep gradually and so we did not have to worry about kids. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back.
