This booking was our anniversary trip, we booked and paid in full weeks prior to the date. It was hard to find the location so I called the host with no luck, we found the place after 40 mins lost, when we arrived the host told us that we couldn't stay there and claimed that she tried to contact us 2 days ago via whatsap (which I don't have) to cancel our reservation. This was at 4pm, one hour after check-in time, I still had my reservation on airbnb with no messages from them. She blamed airbnb for double booking the listing and she was not apologetic at all for the lack of communication. She believed our reservation wasn't paid off and when I showed her the receipt she said "that's seems like too low", the price I paid is the same price that the listing shows right now so I don't know what she was trying to say. We had to leave and spent another hour with airbnb support to cancel the reservation and we had to book at another last minute much more expensive place that we didn't like.
