We had a fantastic stay over New Years at Sara's house/cabin. It was a great mix of historic and modern. Beautiful location near the river and spacious house and grounds to explore. We had 10 adults and there was definitely enough space on the main floor for activities and retreat, cooking, and dining. House was well heated and the 2 gas fireplaces were very cozy. Entertainment system and projector were easy to use and great modern touch that also retracted to enjoy the historical portion of the house. For future guest, we had a bit trouble finding the 4th bedroom (Stairs in kitchen, behind what looks like a pantry door; great bedroom), the lockbox is on the modern side door not the patio front doors, and the bedroom above historic portion of the house has some rustic beams that may cause some ducking for those over 6ft at times. All that to say, we would definitely stay again, and would consider summer time as well to make use of the river and kayaks!

Perfect getaway for any size group! Excellent location for hiking, river, and other local activities, or there's plenty to do right at the house. Large enough to easily accommodate our big group, and the amenities were just what we needed! Got a ton of use out of the home theater and the kayaks.
