The idyllic, cosy courtyard, the old half-timbered building and the incomparable location next to the mighty town fortifications make the house the ideal starting point for exploring the town, the river and the surrounding area. It is only a few steps to the market square with the magnificent brick Gothic town hall and even shorter is the way down the ancient staircase, once used to fetch water, to the Tanger harbour.

Regarding the parking situation: You cannot park in Marktstraße, but you can stop there to load and unload. Please note that it is best not to park directly in front of the house, but to drive a few metres further forward so that the entrance and exit of the guesthouse opposite is not obstructed. The best place to park is at the bottom of the Tangerhafen harbour. There you will always find sufficient free parking spaces outside of major festival and market days. You can reach the car park via Schloßfreiheit or Stendaler Str. It is best to park near the large harbour warehouse. From there, you can easily walk to the house via the stairs at the Putinnen (two closely spaced towers of the city wall just to the left of the large harbour warehouse).
