Kate’s house is a quirky, funky, eclectic space— a huge old house full of lovingly selected furniture, decorations, books. We had fun just wandering around looking at various little touches. We also were floored by just how BIG it is; our family of 5 fit very comfortably. I wish the weather had cooperated a bit more because the porch & back yard are both lovely, well-cared for, inviting spaces. Along with the great house, Kate was a gracious and responsive host and we really appreciated that. Last but not least: the location is extremely close to SEPTA regional rail in one direction and Germantown Ave (buses, including the very-frequent 23) in the other, yet it feels incredibly peaceful and quiet. All in all, highly recommended!

The Mt Airy Manse is a spacious and antique filled haven to stay in while visiting Philadelphia. Kate is a friendly and thoughtful hostess who makes guests feel well taken care of. It is also a book lovers dream with multiple book cases spread across the downstairs parlor and living room, as well as an upstairs sitting room, and window seat. There were 4 of us and it was plenty of room for us to spread out across multiple bedrooms, and even a big screen tv for just relaxing together. The large kitchen also held a great gas stove,refrigerator, and dishwasher. So much fun to stay in a traditional house, as we returned after some years to the beloved city in which we grew up.🥰

This home is so unique and beautiful. There is so much room to spread out. Stayed for 2 weeks and would recommend.
