An excellent place to stay! The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed for the weekend (our son didn’t even complain about the sofa bed, which is very rare!) Very quiet for such a central location, but several restaurants, takeaways and cafes within walking distance. Gordon and Anne are lovely and we really enjoyed the visits from their gorgeous Labrador, Tilly (though we found it hard not to let her inside!) Good value and highly recommended :)

I booked this for my son, and Gordon was aware of that, for what was to be a month. To be clear I have 75, Five star reviews from hosts ( and my son is included in most of those). We not remotely high maintenance and are extremely fair and equitable. We were assured it was clean, and noise was not an issue. Clay arrived and the cleanliness was not up to standards- bugs on the carpeting, webs, mold under the sink, area with clutter off the living room that was not shown in any pictures. These pictures were sent to Airbnb. As he works from home all day and studies for his PhD, these are not nice to haves for a 3 day stay on vacation. Noise and lack of cleanliness was immediately noticeable in that he could hear every step and it was clear the place was not cleaned well. Clutter in a room etc. He left and in lieu of making any remedy or accomodations for a one month fee, the host made none. His former airbnb host who loved having him stay there has taken him in.

A beautiful Airbnb in a tranquil setting perfect for exploring Auckland! The location is great, walkable/bus to everywhere you need, and the Airbnb is extremely well kitted out, very comfy bed, private garden space, full kitchen and living room to yourself, lovely bathroom. The host was so accommodating to our unsociable flight times - we were so grateful!! Great recommendations by the host too. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Auckland!
