We were thankful for accepting our booking the very last minute. We had the entire home for us, everything was exceptionally clean and pleasant. The owners left us some fresh food in the fridge which was a great surprise after a long journey. Great please to relax in beautiful surroundings!

The place is a serene hide out very close to the airport. The house is set amongst old trees that reminds one of the sacred groves (kavu) of Kerala. The private veranda from the master bedroom opens towards River Periyar. The first night I spent in the house, there was even a big coffee plant in bloom which filled the air with its heady fragrance. The host and family were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served at agreed time, they were always willing to help without being intrusive. I personally felt that this would be a good place for writers etc for an extended stay to do a small project. The surroundings are tranquil and conducive for solitary creative pursuits.

We had a wonderful stay at the River House. The place was very clean and the hosts were super helpful. The property is green and serene and we enjoyed the cool breeze from the river in the afternoons. My friends were also able to get an Ayurvedic massage at Ayurcare Ayurveda Panchakarma & Massage Center which was close by. Best part is this quite spot is only 5km from kochi airport. Will be back here when I am in kochi next time.
