The Elm Street Inn is a cozy getaway in the heart of one of Sleepy Eye's oldest neighborhoods. Just a few short minutes' walk away from downtown and the lake, the Inn itself is located along a quiet neighborhood street and offers all the comforts of home with the quiet pace of small-town living. The house was built in 1898 and features all the charm and character (and curious quirks) of a historical home. We invite you to come, stay, and relax for a while: we think you'll like it here. The Elm Street Inn is a 2 bed/1 bath house built in 1898. As with many older homes, it has some quirky features, which are noted in the photo tour. Both bedrooms and the bathroom are on the second floor, and the stairs are a bit steep (see photos). The kitchen and dining area are large and open, and the living room gets lovely natural lighting. The washer/dryer unit was newly installed in Sept. 2023 and is located in the mudroom. There is a large 2-car detached garage, accessible via a paved alley, which is available for guest use.
