On a quiet road with excellent transport connections. Charming Victorian worker’s cottage with high ceilings and a private garden. We are a six-minute walk to Plaistow underground station. 2 double bedrooms, open plan, lounge/diner with a huge squishy sofa and kitchen stocked with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Peace and space only 25 minutes travel to Central London. Your London home from home. A spacious single level home with large rooms, open plan lounge and lots of household comforts. A perfect stay for individuals, couples or groups of up to 4 people looking for a unique stay in one of the most authentic parts of London. My house is quiet and my road is peaceful. For stays between 7 – 14 days I can arrange street parking. We are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Central London but the excellent transport links connect you to the whole metropolis. Local underground stations are: Plaistow (6min walk): District Line connecting to Tower Hill, Embankment, Westminster, Victoria, Kew Gardens, and Wimbledon going west and Mile End, Barking and Upminster in the East. Hammersmith and City Line connects Barking to Hammersmith in West London West Ham (13min walk) & Canning Town (8min bus): Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and Jubilee Line connecting to Greenwich, City Airport, Stratford International, London Bridge, Waterloo, Green Park and Baker Street. Stratford (9min bus): Central Line connecting to Bank, St Paul’s, Oxford Circus, Bond St and Notting Hill to the West and Epping, Hainault and Ilford to the East. Elizabeth Line connecting to Liverpool Street, Tottenham Court Road, Paddington and Heathrow Airport to the west and Romford, Brentwood and Shenfield to the East. North London Overground Trains to Hackney, Highbury and Islington and Hampstead Heath. My house is also close to the Olympic Park, the O2, Excel London (20 minutes), the London Aquatic centre (11 minutes) and The ABBA Arena (6 minutes). Driving and Parking The house is conveniently located for the M25, A13, Blackwall tunnel and Dartford Tunnel. As I am a resident at the property I can apply for guest parking permits – please let me know if you need these - there will be a charge and I cannot guarantee a space right outside my house. Inside and Garden There are two comfortable bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with an outstanding king size bed. The lounge has a very large comfy sofa that can sleep one extra person and it’s just as comfortable as both the beds! Extra bedding will be left out for groups requiring the sofa as a bed (please let me know in advance, there is an additional fee for this guest). The lounge and kitchen have large windows and a door leads out to the garden. There is an Alexa device in this area for your convenience but if you are unhappy with that, please switch it off. The garden is being redeveloped after years of neglect by former occupiers. I have planted this spring 2024 and hope for a lovely show this summer – in the meantime there’s a nice patio area to use. I also have a smoker’s rain-break over the back door and smoking outside is absolutely permitted. For security there is a spy hole and slide-bolt on the back of the front door, all windows have restrictors fitted and a Front Door Camera observes approaches to the front door. Please love my house: I also live here when I am working in London, so if you are seeking a 5-star home away from home experience, this is the place for you! I take pleasure from my super-host rating and will always try to make your stay welcoming. I have some personal items and clothes in the house - I think most guests will like the décor and not find my effects in the way, but your feedback is valued. Guests need to be considerate of their surroundings and parties and unauthorised guests are not permitted. My neighbours and I are a friendly bunch, but we all deserve a peaceful living space therefore antisocial noise will not be tolerated. I stay nearby and will have to terminate your stay if I receive reports of loud music or see unauthorised guests on the Front Door Camera. Respectful visitors will enjoy my home as a comfortable haven to return to after visiting busy Central London. I'm looking for guests who will enjoy my quiet house as if it was their own, and in return will have an extra comfortable home with delightful personal touches, an attentive host and plenty of bits and bobs.
