This spacious duplex is part of an apartment community located in Oklahoma County. Located in central NW OKC. Minutes away from Paseo district, Asian district and OCU. Great for individuals or couples that want efficiency without sacrificing comfort. You will surely love your stay in this cozy apartment in the perfect location! Situated about two miles northwest of downtown Oklahoma City, Epworth is a historic neighborhood on the cusp of the brilliant Uptown 23rd District. Epworth is home to Oklahoma City University, whose gothic towers are spread over 100 acres. Epworth residents enjoy convenience to a broad array of community events, such as Film Row street festivals, the Plaza District Festival, Oklahoma City Thunder games, the Oklahoma City Regatta, and the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. Epworth is just a short drive away from a variety of historical landmarks, art galleries, restaurants, shops, and attractions in the Paseo Arts District, Bricktown Entertainment District, Automobile Alley, Deep Deuce, Midtown, and the Plaza District. A host of scenic parks and natural amenities are also within close proximity to Epworth, including Will Rodgers Park, Myriad Botanical Gardens, Lake Hefner, and the Oklahoma River, and a lot more. Such a perfect place to have plenty to do!
Sadly, I would not recommend this stay. The living room ceiling fan/overhead light did not work. Luckily, there is a lamp there so that helped the light issue. The flooring is in severe disrepair in certain areas. After walking in, we realized that the “sofa bed” (when you say sofa, you would think something like a pull out mattress) is actually just a futon that is not very comfortable. The toilet is not secured to the ground properly, so it wobbles from side to side as you’re sitting on it. It doesn’t flush terribly well either. To add to the bathroom issue, it is not well ventilated due to the fact that the shower window is supposed to open but has been caulked shut and there is no fan. The bath pan and shower curtain have some weird red/brown stains that I think were rust but not quite sure. The bedroom outlets behind the bed also don’t seem to work despite our best efforts. It’s a duplex and the walls were paper thin so you could hear everything going on in the attached apartment.
