To preface this, I’m 6ft tall. Even then this is a great little apartment to stay in. Was here for a little more than a month and was able to get accustomed to these traditional style apartments. Having said that, if you want to cook you do have a great 2 burner stove top but even if you don’t want to cook you have great options nearby and a few places to buy delicious bentos. It’s a very convenient place to stay as a home base if you plan on going out and about and exploring the nearby towns and definitely consider it if you’re planning to visit someone at the base. The owner is also very friendly and responsive so no hassle with him what’s so ever. And if you like dogs you’ll have the added treat of meeting Lucky. Just keep in mind this is a traditional size apartment so don’t consider something big. Also for washing clothes there’s a coin laundry nearby.

I had an awesome time in Japan. Shu's place was great and very convenient since I was using Yokota AB facilities (gym and commissary) pretty frequently. I had my own unit with my own bathroom and kitchen. Everything that I needed was there and taking the train from the stations nearby was a breeze. I'm already planning my next trip and I'm planning to stay at Shu's place again.

great over all experience. The hospitality was by far the best, since i know the area this was the best place i could have stayed while visiting. Walking distance from base, bars and restaurants. Also entertainment places such as round one. would recommend for sure.

Shukichi’s apartment was so clean, convenient and private. He was very flexible and extremely helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Great place and really close to Yokota Air Base and the Fussa Station, Seiku, etc.
