My group had a great time staying at David’s place. It was very spacious and fit our larger group easily. It was the cleanest AirBnB I have stayed in. The view was beautiful and one night we were able to see a lot of stars. We had a nice time driving down the road to Yale Lake one day.

We had a group of six women staying here to hike mount Saint Helens. It was only 30 minutes to the trail head and we loved this house because it had a beautiful kitchen that was fully stocked with everything We needed including outdoor grill, and fire pit. It had beautiful surroundings and a hot tub for our sore muscles, it was very quiet and everyone had their own comfy beds. This was a wonderful stay and even better than I expected. I would definitely come back!

Overall, the house was clean. It is more appropriate for families with small children, as the bunk beds were built for little ones. The property was private. The views were pretty. The kitchen was okay. There was an electric tea kettle and coffee maker, but the cookware was sparse. No cookie sheets, etc… the grill needs to be replaced. The fire pit was lovely and David had plenty of wood available. The hot tub was very clean, but 1 of the 4 seats did not have functioning jets. It was about a 30 minute drive to the Ape Caves. For travelers, it would be nice if the host had flashlights on hand to be borrowed instead of having to purchase at the overpriced general store down the road. We drove an hour to Lewis river trail. It was beautiful. We liked that the book had suggestions for trails. Wifi was weak and we were not able to stream a movie do to the wifi and the age of the DVD player and TV. We were a party of 8, ranging from 16-50.

David’s house was perfect for our get together- 6 adults and 3 kids. We cooked in the well laid out kitchen, had s’mores and late night talks by the campfire, game night happened even though we forgot to bring some of our newer games from home, and dipped in the hot tub after long days of hikes and boating activities at the nearby lake. 3 nights was not enough! The weather was in our favor so we had clear star gazing evenings after dusk visitations from the local deer. Great house- great location and we can’t wait to come back!

We had a great stay at the lakewood house. It was lovely to be out in the woods with some amazing views. The house was very clean and nicely appointed, it really felt like a home where you could relax after a day hiking in the mountains. Very child friendly too with a collection of toys, games, and kids plates/forks which I appreciate. My family was all a bit sad we had to leave, and I hope we'll be able to visit again on another trip. Thanks David!
