汉密尔顿(Hamilton) · 农家乐 · 4室6床3.0卫 · 可住9人 · Spacious Farm Home with Picturesque Mountain Views
Nestled within the 200+ acres of a working farm, this 4-bedroom Hill House is a wonderful space for a break from the hustle-bustle. Breathtaking views of the Bitterroot Mountains, the valley, and possible wildlife. This home is conveniently located just minutes from the center of Hamilton, and provides easy access to hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing and more. The open floor plan, game room, and patio are perfect for small get-togethers or group gatherings. The “Hill House” at Red Rock Family Farm (RRFF) was originally built in the late 80's. Grateful every day for the incredible views, peaceful location, and spacious living, we decided that this was a place we wanted to share with others. In 2023 we started renovating the Hill House with the goal of preserving the original character while updating function and features for a comfortable experience. The design, furnishings, and décor have all been intentionally chosen by our family to represent what we value here and to share our love of this lifestyle. What lifestyle? RRFF is a WORKING FARM. We are learning to farm in a sustainable way that follows nature’s patterns, supports our ecosystem, and turns a profit in time. We are currently running a herd of 72 mama cows and 3 bulls. We are also raising a flock of about 95 laying hens. You may see us moving temporary fence for our grazing cattle, and moving our "egg-mobile" (chicken coop on wheels) through pasture for our birds to free-range. We currently have our eggs, and some ground beef, along with other locally produced goods available for purchase in our farm store. In addition, we are learning to grow a variety of trees, shrubs, vegetables, herbs and flowers in hopes of producing food for ourselves and to sell to the community. You may see us planting, pruning, watering, and scratching our heads as we observe what's working and what's not;-) Within the farm, this 2 level home sits on a hill and offers a unique view of the Bitterroot Mountains. It has 4-bedrooms (2 on the main level and 2 downstairs), 3 full bathrooms, 2 wood stoves, and hardwood floors throughout. The open gathering space on the main level includes a large dining room table (seating 8 - 12), cozy leather couches around a wood stove, an upright piano, and a "reading nook." The kitchen has an open layout with a 5-burner induction range, stocked cooking equipment, new fridge/freezer, large 2 basin sink, and center island with counter stools. The kitchen does NOT have a dishwasher, or a microwave. The downstairs "game room" houses a pool table, board games and puzzles for various ages, a comfy sectional couch, and smart TV. A washer and dryer are also provided for your use, along with detergent, dryer balls, a drying rack, iron, and ironing board. The patio off the kitchen allows you to get outside, breathe in the mountain air, and enjoy your favorite beverage, or cook on the grill while taking in the views. Step off the patio for a little one-on-one basketball or walk the infancy of our future "food forest". It doesn't look like much yet, but we have been planting a variety of fruit and nut trees, berry shrubs, herbs, and flowers over the past couple growing seasons. There is also a geodesic dome greenhouse situated directly north of the home where we are experimenting with year-round growing through the harsh Montana winters. We are happy to arrange a time to share it with you. It is important to us to respect your peaceful space, while gaining your understanding that you will likely see us working on the grounds around the home, in the geodesic dome, or the wood shop from time to time. We encourage you to come say hi! Our hope is that your stay with us provides an opportunity for you to unplug and connect with friends, family, co-workers (or who-ever you are here with), and nature! We want your visit to be relaxing and/or adventurous, thus encourage you to reach out with any questions or needs. We live on the greater property, take care of the Hill House ourselves and are excited to host you here at RRFF!
The surrounding area is a rural neighborhood of homes, small farms and ranches, while being just 4.5 miles to the heart of downtown Hamilton.
There is ample parking for you on site. The 0.4 mile drive up Grantsdale Cemetery Rd is a fairly steep gravel road. 4x4 is not required, but can be helpful during mud and snow season.
