We loved staying at Maxine’s place. It’s in a really great location, super quiet and peaceful with beautiful surroundings and there are so many great walking tracks and attractions nearby. And it is only a short drive to Paihia, Russell and Waitangi which we enjoyed visiting too. We loved the conservatory space with views out to the garden and the spa pool was a treat at the end of the day.

Maxine's place was lovely, her garden was beautiful to spend time in. The place was also very clean. There is limited space and utensils for assembling food. She was very easy to communicate with. We had our dog with us as well, who also had a great time! Only downside is that the place is not very private. There is a private entrance however we can hear everything going on in the house from our bedroom. The spa room is next door to the bedroom and has a connecting door to the main house. It was not quite as cozy and secluded as we thought, however was still a very nice accommodation.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Maxine was fantastic, very friendly, kind and respectful of our privacy. the space was very clean and there where helpful instructions left for the amenities. 10/10 will be staying again in the future

Maxine’s place was so peaceful and relaxing. She was an amazing host and made sure that we had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the room clean and the hot tub was just what we needed after a day of hiking. We loved the location. Short walk from her place to the start of a hiking trail along the river to Rainbow Falls (highly recommend). and a short walk to a wonderful restaurant and stone store. 5 minute drive to town. If you are there on a saturday I highly recommend the Saturday market. We easily could have stayed for another day to explore the area. Thank You Maxine.
