Staying at Mont Joly was like visiting friends living in a chateau transported in perfect condition from the 19th century. Claudia and husband Jag instantly made me feel part of the household, and over the next three days they supplied me with bountiful breakfasts, travel tips (afternoon trip to Pyrenees!), and details about their interesting lives. Over the years, I learned, they have apparently restored every detail of this magnificent structure, inside-out and top-to-bottom. The room itself was very comfortable, nicely furnished, and gave me plenty of privacy. The pool and the grounds (including vineyards) are beautiful, as are the surrounding hills and dales. A return visit will be a priority the next time I am in France. I have stayed in many nice hotels, resorts, and bnb's. Mont Joly is the best.

Séjour parfait en tout point ! Le château est incroyable, très beau et très bien décoré, la chambre également très belle et très spacieuse Le lieu est magnifique, calme et paisible, un havre de paix avec sa nature qui l entoure. Nous avons manqué de rien, Claudia est une hôte formidable, attentive, disponible et de très bon conseille. Nous avons testé des restaurants et endroits avec son conseil que nous avons adoré Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux un régale. Je le recommande a tous sans hésitation Merci encore pour tout See you Camille & Sylvain

Where to start with Mont Joly… Nothing short of perfection!! From the second we arrived till the moment we left our expectations were exceeded, greatly! This is easily one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed and honestly the photos are beautiful but simply do not do this truly magical place justice. Easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, and felt like family from the moment we arrived. Utterly faultless, and extremely rare to find such an incredible place. We wish we could have stayed and there is no doubt we will be returning. Recommendations do not come any higher than this. 5*++ in every aspect. I could not speak higher of our experience.

The place was amazing, beautiful well-kept gardens, very clean pool. trees, flowers, vineyard with beautiful views to the mountains. June was a perfect time to see the lavender and agapanthus bloom. Claudia and Jag were very warm and welcoming and provided great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We went hiking in the mountains and wine tasting in the local area. Breakfast was very good, we ate outside and enjoyed listening to the birds singing in the calm and relaxing views. The bedroom was clean and bright with large windows to enjoy the views, a very comfortable sleep on the vi-spring bed and plenty of books to read. Thank you so much Claudia for an amazing stay and your kind hospitality, I would highly recommend this place and will be visiting here again for sure.

We had a wonderful, memorable stay at Château Joly. Claudia and Jag welcomed us into their beautiful home and gave us many suggestions of activities we could enjoy in and around the château and the surrounding countryside. We particularly walking in the Pyrenees, following a wine tour and making use of their fabulous pool and garden. Breakfast on the terrace was always a delight and included delicious melon, figs and plums from the garden. Thank you.
