Welcome to The United Nations of Redfern, right beside Sydney's Downtown! Guests from across the world have made this huge, comfortable, centrally-located home their own - for vacations, reunions, work, romantic getaways - and honeymoons! The Opera House and Harbour Bridge are an easy 40 minute walk, or just ten minutes on the City Circle train from Redfern. The space In the past four years, we have welcomed people from every continent (except Antarctica!) We have hosted Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, atheists and probably other faiths. All have been welcomed, and everyone always will be here. Very GLBTI-friendly. Very straight friendly too! During these times when the world is on edge, travel is a wonderful way for people to connect. • Secure undercover parking is available - shared between our other apartments. If you want to park, please inquire about availability before booking. • This is a huge, stylish apartment on a quiet street, just four blocks to Downtown! This is the size and quality of a suite in a high quality hotel for the price of an average room out of the city. • While there is almost no traffic noise, there is a subway one block away. While we are light sleepers, it rarely disturbs us. Many guests comment on how peaceful the apartment is, but as Airbnb works on the basis of honesty we like to point this out. • Nearly 80 meters large (860 square feet) the apartment has a separate bedroom featuring a queen size latex bed, and a queen-size Murphy bed in the office alcove. The combined living-dining-kitchen-office is spacious. • Check-in is 10am and checkout is 8am. This allows us to clean before new guests. If you have an early arrival, you can drop your bags off at 8 and head out for coffee while we finish getting ready for you. • Same for departure time: We will be as flexible as possible. We also have secure bag storage so you don’t have to hold onto you bags if you have an evening flight home. • Redfern is at the southern end of the CBD, so you can have a leisurely stroll right along George St to the Opera House, Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge, and come back through the Botanic Gardens. • We also provide tea, coffee (with your own espresso machine), cereal and fresh milk for your breakfast. Please cook! The pantry is also well stocked with staples all for your use. Just leave a note of what to stock up on. Ministers, atheists, IT professionals, professional skiers, a chandler, artists, social workers, jewellers, accountants, people on their 10th wedding anniversary, 25th wedding anniversary, gay couples, single parents, toddlers, teenagers, film makers, family reunions, old-friend reunions, nurses, builders, retirees taking a whole year off to enjoy each other's company as they travel the world. Not a bad word from any of them, not a bad word about any of them. The world which comes through our door as hosts makes our hearts soar.
