The local contact Carla was very nice and accommodating However on the 2nd day we needed to be shown how to physically turn the heat on as it got very cold at night. She messaged instructions but we were not successful at getting the heat on and had to sleep with our clothing on to keep warm. Carla had a family emergency with her husband in the hospital so she was unavailable for actual instruction. On the 3rd night we were awoken at midnight with the sound of large birds running across the roof for about an hour. The apartment needs maintenance. The chair on the balcony is broken, the power outlet near the dinning table is receded into the wall and unusable for our laptop, and one of the showers has a clog. Between the cold and the unexpected noise, we had to find other accommodations and relocate for the last 2 nights. The owner protested our complaints saying there was nothing at all wrong with the place and refused to agree to refund the last 2 nights. We had to have airbnb help
