Absolutely outstanding experience. We loved everything about our stay and definitely will come back. Ramakanta and his family were very welcoming and treated us like dear friends. The house and the land itself feels like a unique and magical place, existing with a total harmony with nature. At the same time, there is everything you might need, i.e. hot water and a Wi-Fi. Don’t expect hotel-level treatment though, it is more of an eco home stay where you will be in contact with the family most of the time. Just come with an open heart and you will love this place.

Ramakanta help us to arrange safari in national park with nice food supply. And he set camp fire for us to chat and watching stars. Phan Gar is a good place to enjoy nature and relax. Its far from the urban area, about 2-3 hours from airport. Better to stay more than 2 nights there to compensate the travelling time.

My partner and I had a life-changing stay with Ramakanta and his family. We felt really good and safe here. We loved talking to Ramakanta and I truly believe he is an enlightened being. I’m going to encourage my friends and family to visit Nepal and to stay with them. During our stay we did a 6 hr trek into the jungle with Ramakanta and two other guides. He is very proud of this path he has forged through the jungle and it’s for good reason. You’ll experience a side of the jungle you may otherwise never see. Ramakanta is an expert of the jungle and we felt very protected by him and the rest of the crew. We saw waterfalls and the prints of many animals, including rhinos, Bengal tigers, chimpanzees, etc. The jungle was breathtakingly beautiful and we swam beneath an epic waterfall. The road to get here is rough, but it’s worth it. It’s more of a rustic experience but if you’re used to camping it’s like ‘glamping’. The room we stayed in was large and we loved all the decorations and books. There’s a great deck to sit on too. His wife is an excellent cook and his son is the sweetest boy. They have a sweet young cat, young dog, and young goats that were so fun to play with and observe. I miss all the animals, the scenery, and this family so much already. Highly recommend!!
