Spent a beautiful night in the dome, Motherwood was very responsive and nice enough to leave us a heater knowing it was below freezing temp overnight which we greatly appreciated!

My fiancee and I absolutely loved the stay and location. The wood stove was amazing and the view was spectacular. Owner was extremely communicative and had no problem finding our stay. The absolute only complaint I have is the grade of the side of the dome Mt fiancee has nerve damage and from the pictures I didn't notice the fire pit and outhouse to be on such a grade. absolutely lovely location for a couple of person more suited for the incline. I understand it's the Blue ridge mountains and I knew from growing up there that it'd be a challenge for her however I would have made more suitable arrangements based on more accurate and up to date pictures

The dome is an incredible place to stay with beautiful views and cozy vibes. It’s easy to find and not too far from everything else.

My partner and I booked the Dome last minute along with Motherwood’s other property, Hobbithenge and we were blown away by the attention to detail in our experience. We had a beautiful view of the mountains and the Dome was quite a high standard glamping experience, having its own kitchenette, shower, and sink. We had so much fun just talking to each other through the weird acoustics in the Dome’s geodesic structure. We never started a fire before and it was something that required practice, but it was made easier by the fact we were provided wood and there was a wide patch of land for us to seek kindling. Our host was responsive to any questions we had and we had a great time exploring nearby overlooks and trails. It was very magical! We’re already talking about our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay! It got below freezing overnight with some unseasonably cold weather, but we had plenty of wood to keep the cast iron stove going throughout the night. Plus, the host had a bunch of extra blankets on the bed for us. We would definitely stay here again, anytime of year!
