Beautiful place in beautiful surroundings. Ideal for dogs and a great place to come and just relax and unwind in nature. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing stay in the Shepherds hut, perfect for dogs as all is secure barring a couple of gaps we closed up. Everything as described and so peaceful. Managed the walk up the hills on both sides of the hut and took the dogs for a long walk at the Blue island. Shops only 10 min drive away and we enjoyed cooking on the fire. Only piece to be aware of is if your dog likes to escape check the fences and the parking is on the road and if you have a large car it is a bit tricky.

I cannot begin to express how perfect this place is and how much I would recommend it ! Me and my three dogs had the best time and we felt like happy hobbits living in the forest! It was an escape from reality and you truly feel one with nature! The field is so safe and secure for dogs of all sizes, amazing views and the cabin is so comfy and cosy! It’s so nice to find somewhere so magical with such kind hosts! Can’t wait to come back !

I really enjoyed my stay at the shepherd's hut/artist's retreat. The hut is lovely and beautifully designed and both the field the hut is in and the surrounding countryside are delightful. My dog greatly enjoyed the freedom to roam around the field and there was a local walk - part of the Glyndŵr’s Way - that was also fenced in so I was able to let him bounce about off lead there. I enjoyed the compact space and the wood-burning stove, and would certainly have enjoyed some outdoor camp fires had I not chosen to visit during rainy January! The hut has electricity, a plumbed sink and shower and a gas stove as well as the wood-burner, so I found the property a nice balance of countryside retreat and home comforts.
