Millhouse · 整套乡村小屋 · 2室3床1.0卫 · 可住4人 · Cosy 2 bedroom cottage w/ log burner, wifi & deck
My place is in the historic village of Millhouse, near the beautiful sandy beach at Ostel bay, lovely country walks, Tighnabruiach and the Portavadie marina. You’ll love my place because of the log burning stove and the great deck. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and well behaved pets (£20 extra cleaning fee for pets ). Two pet max. It also has BT Business Wifi. Parking is on street in front of the cottage. The cottage is one of the workers cottages for the former gunpowder factory. It was built in around 1870 and has been fully modernised. There are plenty of outside seating areas on the decks to watch the world go by or have a bite to eat. The porch means you're safe from any inclement weather. The log fire will send out a vast amount of heat to keep you cosy and there is also a smart TV ( Wifi but no terrestrial TV reception ). There is a microwave, a dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, fridge, oven and hob. We also now have a BT Business line in the cottage to provide reliable wifi. Parking is on the street in front of the cottage.
lo ely quaint little vouse, just perfect for getti g away from it all. Sheena was a great host and was quick to answer any questions we had
Beautifully converted cottage, close to amazing walks and gorgeous beach, perfect for swimming . We were treated to amazing weather, so enjoyed sunbathing on the covered decking. There is a large (dog free)garden to enjoy. Our dog seemed happy with decking and gravelled area (tired out by walks).Midges fierce in the evening,of course,so retreated to enjoy the woodburner.Didn't want to go home !
Millhouse is a small village just outside Tighnabruiach in Argyll, around 2 hours from Glasgow. Millhouse was home to a Gunpowder factory from 1849 to the early 1920's and the cottage is one of the former workers cottages. Many of the ruins can be found in the surrounding woods.
Millhouse is near the scenic village of Tighnabruiach, Kames, the Portavadie marina and the beautiful beach at Ostel bay.

There is also a local shop in Kames. From the Kames post office turn down towards the short and round a bend and the shop is on the right.

Wellpark is beautifully restored (URL HIDDEN) Wellpark welcome non-residents for bar lunches, and suppers but best to book in advance, especially in the summer.
Botanica (URL HIDDEN) Just opened this year in Tighnabruaich village. Great cooking with locally sourced food and a menu which changes daily. The quality of the food is outstanding, best to book as it is a very popular place to eat.
Kames Hotel (URL HIDDEN) about a mile from the cottage in Kames.

The Oyster Catcher at Otter Ferry on the shore of Loch Fyne. A great place for a meal, the food is excellent or an evening drink and to see the sun set in the west. (URL HIDDEN)
