Excellent location and hosts. The most well stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen, impressive design of the rooms (each room has its own bathroom!), super clean thanks to regular housekeeping, AMAZING location (right in the center of town above a few bakeries, surrounded by shops), minutes walk to 2 surf breaks, minutes to various grocery stores (as well as specialty fish markets and butchers), and great culture of communal living. I came here to do an intensive surf training program while working on my PhD dissertation (internet is great), and it was very easy to focus while taking breaks in a peaceful environment. while Looking forward to coming back next year!

Très bon logement: la chambre est grande et propre, tout est fonctionnel, le matelas trés bon, emplacement central, espaces communs agréables. Un peu de bruit les soirs de WE mais j'ai bien dormi. Seul vrai défaut: l'humidité élevée (cela semble le cas partout à Ericeira).

Vanessa and Eduardo are incredible hosts and it is obvious this historical family home is well loved. The location is dead center in the old section of town but be prepared for noise because, after all, it is dead center! I’ll be back!

Stayed in Capitao for 7,5 months. It is a nice and clean place within walking distance to 6 surf beaches. Vanessa and Eduardo are friendly, flexibel and helpful hosts. What makes Capitao special is the contacts you make with other guests. I had great dinners, deep conversations, surf sessions, TV nights and workouts at the beach or at REP in Seixal. That is one of the things I will miss with this place. I can highly recommend a stay at Capitao.
