Get away from it all in private peaceful surroundings. The Glamper’s Getaway is a newly renovated 1977 Silver Streak Trailer. Situated between Placerville and Coloma this is an ideal location for visiting nearby Saureel Vineyards, hiking trails, kayaking, white water rafting, mountain biking, Apple Hill Ranches, or skiing in Lake Tahoe. Visit nearby wineries of El Dorado County or take a scenic 40 minute drive to wine taste in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County. The Glamper’s Getaway is located on 4.8 acres with a gated driveway entrance. There is a designated parking area for guests large enough for two vehicles. ~ The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to do light cooking; dishes & silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, basic cooking needs (oil, spices, S&P), two burner induction cook top, refrigerator, microwave, various coffee makers and of course wine glasses. We provide coffee & tea options so you can start your morning off right. ~ The bedroom area is cozy with an RV Queen size bed, and a TV for viewing while relaxing in bed. The day bed/couch can sleep one extra person on an RV twin size mattress. There is a full bathroom inside the Silver Streak trailer. ~ The Silver Streak has been updated with a new quiet modern Air conditioning & Heater unit. The hot water heater is a new updated on demand unit. ~ The outdoor living area consists of a BBQ, couch with seating for two, a fire pit table, and a pub table for two. Suzie is a super host. She is the super host by whom other super hosts are judged. Creativity, originality, and top notch quality are good words to describe her operation. Once you arrive and begin exploring you will realize Suzie has anticipated every need, every whim: morning coffee service, extra towels, a robe, an iron, munchies the kids can eat, a stick lighter for the BBQ......it is hard to accurately capture the TOTAL ambience she achieves.....a few lucky ones will come to the wine country and experience it themselves. When I knew I was going to be traveling in the PLACERVILLE - LOTUS - COLOMA area, the first thing I did was make a reservation with Suzie.....there's just no where else to stay that compares.
My husband and I stayed at the Glamping Getaway for a night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved everything! It’s easy to see that Suzie really takes pride in creating a great experience. The attention to details and the way that the camper has been updated is perfect. Classic 70’s meets modern. The outdoor bathroom is so nice. The patio is inviting and comfortable. There are plants and cute decor making it feel like home. We grilled dinner and had all of the kitchen supplies we needed. The view is nice and peaceful. We really enjoyed relaxing by the fire. The bed was really comfortable and had nice, soft linen. Overall, 10/10 would stay again and recommend to others!
We loved the glampervan!!!! It was amazing! The view and surroundings were beautiful! The place was super calm and quiet. EVERYTHING you could possibly need was to be found in the van. We made a barbecue and played cards by the fire after the sun went down. In the morning we had a beautiful breakfast. The hosts were super friendly and gave us lots of advice for our road-trip. We’d love to come back and stay longer! Would recommend it to anyone passing through the area (we came from June lake and we’re going to the coast) OR if you just need a quiet place for yourself for a couple of weeks I’m sure this place would be awesome!! 😊😃🙏
Went up for the weekend for a friend’s wedding and had a wonderful stay. Very relaxing with a beautiful view of local nature. Outdoor shower was great! Would definitely come back if in the area again.

You will drive past vineyards through beautiful countryside to the Glamper's Getaway located 6.5 miles from downtown Placerville, with many great options to dine or walk through the charming shops. If outdoors adventure is what you want, we are located 3 miles from Coloma-Lotus valley. You can paddle the American River, visit the Marshall Gold Discovery Park, and taste wine at the local wineries. For winter outdoor activities, the Glamper's Getaway is located about 45 minutes away from "Sierra at Tahoe" ski resort and about 1 hour 15 minutes drive to South Lake Tahoe.
This is a rural area. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to/from Placerville to the Hideaway. If you are driving at night please be mindful of deer that may be crossing the road. Sometimes map applications will send you to town via Highway 49, however this is the more curvy route and takes longer. The shortest way to Placerville is via Cold Springs Rd to Placerville Drive.
