If you are going here with the primary focus being fishing, like I was, this place is ideal. 20 steps down to the river and you are in the water. The cabin is a little pricy, but private fishing access totally trumps that cost. It is very private, very secluded, a little tough to get to but well well worth it. The cabin itself is flawless. Perfect kitchen, all updated appliances, spotlessly clean. The bed upstairs is on the soft side and the bed downstairs on the medium-firm side so I chose that one. Pillows, blankets, linen's all clean and perfect. Great lighting throughout. Balcony upstairs gives a great view, and the porch on the main floor also provides a great view as well. Did not use the fire-pit but it looks awesome. Keep the lids closed on the trash cans out front because there are racoons in the area, it looked like they got there before I did and I cleaned it up as best I could. Overall 10/10, can't wait to go back!

Excellent!!!!!!! The views were amazing! The privacy was unmatched. We felt like we were in paradise.

Place was great. The location on the map in the AirBnB add was a little misleading. Google maps will not take you to the right house. Apple Maps will though. Not an issue, but it’s about a 7-8 minute drive down a gravel road, so just know what to expect!

I would definitely stay again. There is fishing and kayaking in the area. It was quiet and relaxing. I recommend to anyone

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hideaway! We definitely recommend and would be glad to stay again ourselves. Some details for anyone interested: - We thought the pictures didn't do the property justice. It was even prettier and cozier in person. - The railroad tracks across the river are the Blue Ridge Railway! We didn't know that when we booked, but it was so fun to see the train come through several times. - The downstairs living room and eating space is even smaller than it looks in the pictures, but it is comfortable. - They weren't pictured when we booked, but there are stairs leading directly into the river. If want to fish, bring waders. There isn't much accessible riverbank to stand on. - Our little one really enjoyed the books and toys we found in the cabinet. - The nearby town of Blue Ridge is relaxed, cozy, and friendly. - Jason, the caretaker, was very responsive, helpful, and friendly. We appreciated his communication!
