Central starting point for trips to Berchtesgaden, Reichenhall, or Salzburg. Our house may not be perfect, but it is very cozy and an authentic place. Lots of wood, lots of light, and an priceless view of the Lattengebirge. Description in English: The attic apartment was freshly renovated in 2023. Ascending to the Apartement, you'll find a wooden staircase with creaking steps. The apartment is flooded with natural light. Kitchen: A cozy kitchen equipped for cooking, complete with an oven and dishwasher. Fridge and dining table, along with a coffee machine and kettle, make it perfect for spontaneous meals and comfortable living. Bathroom: A charming bathroom with shower and toilet. Bedroom: A rustic wooden farmhouse bed awaits. Ample storage with a farmhouse wardrobe and plenty of hanging space. A balcony door offers a direct view of the Lattengebirge and Predigtstuhl. Living Room: A tastefully decorated living room features a comfortable couch, TV, and a cozy reading nook with a leather armchair. Balconies: The apartment boasts two balconies. The highlight is undoubtedly the south-facing balcony with its spectacular mountain views—ideal for breakfasts or simply taking in the scenery. The north-facing balcony overlooks a vast meadow and offers a cool retreat on hot summer days.

The health resort of Bayerisch Gmain is situated on a hill above the basin of Bad Reichenhall.
The area, along with Berchtesgaden and Salzburg, has been renowned for salt mining for centuries, alongside its breathtaking mountain scenery.
From the house, you can start all mountain tours and hikes into the Lattengebirge mountain range within walking distance. The summit of the small local mountain, Dötzenkopf, can be reached in about 1 hour.
Bayerisch Gmain offers beautiful walks right from your doorstep.
Within walking distance (about 8 minutes), there is a larger Edeka supermarket and 3 restaurants in the village.
The spa town of Bad Reichenhall is also within walking distance in the basin. Here, you'll find the famous Gradierwerk (salt evaporation plant) in the spa park, the old saltworks with a museum, the charming pedestrian zone with numerous restaurants, the Thumsee lake, and much more.
The most famous mountains nearby include Hochstaufen, Zwiesel, and Predigtstuhl with its cable car, the world's oldest intact cable car in its original condition.
Berchtesgaden, with its countless incredibly beautiful attractions, is a 20-minute drive away by car, as well as by train and bus. Berchtesgaden is known for the Watzmann mountain, the Königssee lake, the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine, the Documentation Center on the Obersalzberg, the Eagle's Nest, the Berchtesgaden National Park with countless beautiful mountain tours and hikes, the ice cave in MarktSchellenberg, the Untersberg mountain, and much more.
Salzburg, with all its attractions, is a 20-minute drive away by car.

The house is located on the right side, the LAST House in the street.

To access the parking lot:
Continue past the house and turn right onto the small walking path (Grossgmainer Gangsteig), after about 150 meters you will reach the driveway on the right next to the garage behind the house.
You can simply park your car here.
Please do not park on Goethestraße.
By train:
The Bayerisch Gmain train station is located in the village, 2 stops after Bad Reichenhall.
The apartment is within walking distance, approximately a 15-minute walk.
The Salzburg Airport is only about 20 minutes away by car.
