The place was somewhat unusual in layout being a basement apartment underneath another property but due to the local terrain it did not have the feel of a basement. The property was spotlessly clean, warm and well equipped with some nice touches like tea coffee milk and biscuits being provided. The beds were very comfortable and both bedrooms were ensuite. The property is all on one level, idealo for the less able. There was a private outside area which would be nice in summer and free parking right next to the property. The location is convenient both for local shops and also for Aberdare town centre. Above all we were made to feel welcome.

The Hideaway is a secluded apartment on the edge of town, within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons and local amenities. The apartment is clean and has most things you need, even a slow cooker and airfryer if you want to self-cater. Our host was friendly and offered support if we needed it. Consider long-term roadworks going on til 2027, so a satnav is useful. Also make sure you get good directions for finding the apartment, as it is not easy to find from the road or side lane. Worth a visit.

Fantastic stay at this property; everything was as described and hosts were friendly/accommodating. We visited for a weekend of hiking around Brecon Beacons and Pen Y Fan so this property was perfect location. Would highly recommend this property!
