Escape life, for a moment, to this enchanting vintage home with eclectic vibes. The spacious home has one king room, one queen room, and one full room, all curated in the coziest north woods elegance . Let the wind from lake superior slap you in the face as you sit on the back deck. The home is in a quite commercial part of town with a two minute walk to lake walk. If you take a right and you are a 10 min bike ride from Canal park . If you take a left your a 10 minute bike ride from Glensheen. The home has three bedrooms, all upstairs. The primary bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom, equipped with a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen and attached dining area are very spacious and wonderful for socializing. Down stairs also boasts a card room, a spacious living room with a fire place, and a convenient half bathroom. The basement is unfinished but has plenty of room to store bikes, canoes, and paddle boards. Basically all your toys!

It was a beautiful home that accommodated our family well. It was close to the Duluth fun and was easy walking distance to several restaurants. It was clean and comfortable. No complaints at all.
great view of the lake and near everything! house was very clean and spacious...older house but still just really nice. would recommend staying here for anyone looking for a nice relaxing time that has many options for this to do around the house.
We loved staying at Matilda. Leila was great, we ran into her while unloading the car. The house was the perfect spot to rest and relax after being out on the north shore all day. Everything worked great for us. Would definitely stay there again.
We had a lovely stay. Kitchen was well equipped. Large bedrooms. Game room/library was nicely appointed and the living room was comfortable for evening movie time. The paved trail by the lake was so convenient and we enjoyed feeling like a part of Duluth while there. We love to walk and it was nice to be in between Canal Park and Glensheen, both of which we visited on foot. The house had views of the lake as well. Although located on a busy street, things were quiet at night and traffic disturbances were nonexistent. It was very helpful to be so centrally located so we could walk or drive to so many places. Oh, and we are grateful that our dog was welcome too! Thank you!
This was a great, quiet spot to stay. Nice deck with views of the lake. Easy access to the walking path, very comfy beds and ample bathrooms. Everything you need, they had! A juicer? We needed that. Thoughtfully stocked, very roomy.

The lake walk access is just one block away so you can easily gain access to the 8 mile paved trail that follows the lake and connects Canal Park with Brighton Beach. The home is in a commercial area that becomes very quite at night. There is a grocery store and other small convivences with-in a short walking distance. With a more substantial walk you can reach the main downtown and Canal Park!
The Airbnb has ample parking. There are two on street parking spots right out front that are great for unloading. There are four additional spaces in the rear. There is also overflow parking for large toys upon request. The fastest way to get around is by car, but bikes and walking are also viable options! To Canal Park it is a 40 min walk, 10 minute bike or five minute car ride. From the house, it's a two minute walk to the lake, 10 minute walk to the grocery store, and 10 minute walk to the coffee shop, 25 minute walk to Fitgers, and a 30 minute walk to the Glensheen mansion.
