This countryside retreat is situated just off the High Street in the picturesque riverside village of Newnham on Severn, Gloucestershire. There are superb panoramic views over the Forest of Dean and Severn Valley. It is close to the many local beauty spots and tourist attractions of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. The house is bright and airy providing a great space to relax with family or friends. The house is a modern, open plan design with generous living space. Upstairs there there are four bedrooms (two en-suite) and large family bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have king sized beds, the fourth has a two single beds. There is also a fold up single bed in the property. Downstairs is a flexible open plan space with a well equipped kitchen adjoining the dining and lounge areas which can be separated with integral folding doors if required. There is also a utility room and a downstairs cloakroom. French doors open from the living space onto the patio and the enclosed landscaped garden. This has a south west facing aspect perfect for relaxing and entertaining in private. From the rear there are spectacular views over the landscaped gardens, wildflower meadow and on to the Forest of Dean and Severn Valley beyond. To the front there is an enclosed driveway and garage with off-road parking for at least 4 vehicles. High speed full fibre broadband is available throughout the property. In the lounge there is a 55" UHD smart TV which can easily be wheeled to anywhere in the open plan living areas so simply log in to your favourite streaming service to watch Ultra HD content wherever you want! There's also a games console with a selection of games and DVDs to try or download your favorites from your gaming account. You can listen to music or podcasts from your mobile devices by wirelessly connecting to the TV sound bar.

The house is fab. The garden amazing. We had a bbq and sat outside to enjoy the wonderful weather. Took a trip to Ross on Wye and had dinner at the White Harte. The welcome card was a lovely touch. Couldn’t recommend the house highly enough. Thanks for a lovely stay 😊
We had an amazing stay at the place. The host was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house itself was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we could ask for. The location was perfect, with easy access to local shops. We especially loved the view from backside of house, which made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Feel free to customize it to fit your experience!
I Think this is actually the best airbnb that weve stayed in. Annes beautiful house exceeded our expectations, there is so much space and the whole place is absolutely spotless and well designed. The location is fantastic with amazing views over the countryside to the rear., so peaceful with no light pollution at all. Some great recommendations from Anne; the indian restaurant in the Railway Inn was fantastic, as was the pub itself downstairs, really friendly staff and locals. Lunch at the White Hart just along the river was amazing, great food, warm welcome from the staff and superb value for money. The Black Pig ale house was pretty special too and then to top it off its a 5 minute walk back to this brilliant house! We will definitely be back
Anne is such a wonderful host. Communication from her was very clear and helpful from the start, she accommodated our request for extra bed, offered us flexible checkin and check out. Anne made sure that we have a comfortable stay at her house. The house itself is a beautiful place to stay with an amazing garden view. House had all amenities the we needed, including BBQ grill, outdoor seating, board games. Really enjoyed our time, would love to stay at Anne's place again.
Anne’s place was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely family stay there. The surrounding area is beautiful and Newnham is a great village.

Newnham is a pretty, riverside village with an interesting history and many impressive listed buildings along the high street. There is a beautiful walk around the remains of a fort used in the English Civil War, just a few metres away from the house with fabulous views of the River Severn, farmland and hills.
There is a small well stocked shop and post office on the High street which incorporates a cafe and ‘The Black Pig’ ale house on the same site.
A community run cafe and art gallery ‘The George’ is further down the High Street and a pharmacy and two other art galleries on the opposite side of the road. St Peter’s Church and Peace Garden is set in a beautiful position at the top of the village with amazing views of the loop of the River Severn. Newnham is also one of the best places to view the famous Severn Bore!
The Railway Pub offers good Indian food which they will deliver and The White Hart (a pub a mile away from the centre) offers excellent quality meals.
The Silver Fox cafe (a biker cafe famous for hosting The Beatles and other bands from the 60's and 70's) is a relaxing space serving good food, coffee and cakes.
Newnham is situated on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean, which offers many outdoor activities including beautiful walks and cycle trails. Other attractions include heritage museums and railways.
Symmonds Yat and the Wye Valley (AONB) are nearby with a wealth of pretty walks, breathtaking view points, cycling and river activities.
