Complimentary breakfast hamper provided -visit our profile The Farmhouse at Telegraph Retreat Cottages, is a fully self-contained house, accommodating up to eight guests with two bedrooms downstairs, offering a queen and a twin room - an open loft area upstairs with a queen bed and double sofa bed, as well as two living areas to enjoy. Whether you are seeking a romantic NSW getaway, the perfect family farm stay or a great location for a group of friends to chill together, The Farmhouse is the space for you! Children are welcome and always love to hand feed our ducks, goats and to help collect the chicken eggs. There is a table tennis table, a private outdoor barbecue area and a nature playground with a trampoline. Cook for yourself in the well appointed kitchen or take a swift 15 minute drive to Port Macquarie to experience our food culture, with an abundance of restaurants and cafes to choose from. If you decide to wander from your cottage and explore the local area, you will return to relax by the fireplace, or in air-conditioned comfort during summer, and soak in the large clawfoot tub with a glass of locally produced wine. Outdoor enthusiasts - cook up a feast on the BBQ in your undercover dining area, stargaze around the outdoor fire pit, and finish off your evening in the spa, to warm up in winter and cool off in summer. The cottage is well equipped, providing a selection of tea, coffee (with capsule machine) and basic pantry items, games, magazines, books, DVD's and player, a Telstra box and free wifi, everything to keep your mind from wandering back to work or everyday life! A complimentary breakfast hamper is provided for the first morning of your stay. We also offer BBQ packs, picnic hampers and cheese platters for two (options for a family available), you cook and serve yourself in house, please contact for prices and information. Pricing is based on 4 guests, extra guest fees apply for each additional person, maximum of 8 guests. Its 100% worth staying, pity we didn’t stay long enough, enjoyed fully our time
The property and the surroundings was beautiful! The kids loved feeding the animals and there were a lot of space for some family quality time. Core memories were made during our overnight stay. Thank you Ned for accommodating us and for responding so fast!
Ned was a fantastic host, with very timely communication and problem solving, making any issues which arose disappear with prompt. The location and cottage itself were pristine, with many amenities getting some serious use from us including both the spa and ping-pong table. Most equipment is well-kept, with the hosts even delivering us some fresher paddles when seeing our excitement for a chance at a tournament. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a large group, and the barbecue came in handy. The animals roaming the property are well domesticated and weren't ever intrusive to our stay. Had we been around longer, we would have taken the hosts up on the opportunity to feed and interact with some. Nothing arose from our stay that wasn't taken care of after a quick message to the hosts, and we look forward to our next stay at the Telegraph Retreat Cottages.
This was a lovely stay on our trip from Brisbane to Sydney. After a last minute cancellation at another accomodation, Ned was quick to respond and approve our booking. The animals on the property were lovely. Everything you need in the kitchen and a lovely local area to explore.

Telegraph Retreat Cottages offers three secluded cottages, nestled deep in the countryside, on the Mid North Coast of NSW. We are situated between the Cairncross State Forest to the south and the Ballengarra State Forest to the north. The picturesque Wilson River is a five minute drive down the road and activities include water skiing, fishing, swimming, kayaking, mountain bike riding, bush walking, four-wheel-driving, exploring streams and creeks and picnicking. We are surrounded by other rural properties, an abundance of wildlife, farm animals and the Pacific Highway is an easy five minute drive from the property, along sealed roads. The award winning tourist town of Port Macquarie is a 15 minute drive south, with many attractions and holiday activities for people of all ages. Port Macquarie is known for its pristine coastline, national parks and has a multitude of cafes and restaurants, art and cultural experiences. Stay at your cottage for peace and quiet or explore your surroundings, the choice is yours!
We are located on the Mid North Coast of NSW, halfway between Sydney and Byron Bay, five minutes off the Pacific Highway and fifteen minutes North of Port Macquarie. Driving around could not get any easier with sealed roads, quiet streets and direct access to the highway. You will be amazed at how conveniently located Telegraph Retreat Cottages are when exploring the region and all it has to offer. After a busy day out you will feel relieved to return to your cottage to recharge and prepare for another day out or a relaxing day in.
