This is a previously rural neighborhood, with attractive high rise apartments rising on the neighboring hillsides. Envigado is considered one of the most desirable and safe neighborhoods in the greater Medellin metropolitan area. We are on a dead end road, in a residential area. A very pleasing feature of our hill top location is that we are high above Medellin air pollution, traffic congestion and noise. We are a 10 minute walk to nearest Metro system bus stop, with buses arriving every 10 minutes. Within a 12 minute walk, there are small but well stocked grocery, meat and fresh produce stores. Traditional small cafes, restaurants, and a pharmacy are near the grocery shops. We are at the edge of a very safe and friendly traditional middle class Colombian neighborhood. There are a number of interesting nearby places to walk and hike. We are within hiking distance of the El Salado Eco park. As we are located in the hills, all the walking and hiking options involve some significant (aerobic) inclines. Once on the Metro bus, you are 30 minutes public transport from the nearest, large modern mall, which is also the nearest Metro rail station. The Medellin Metro transportation system is literally world famous, including clean, cheap and efficient transport throughout the Medellin metropolitan area, and even include 6 cable cars that reach the hillside communities, all for less than $1.00 US per ride.

The property is gated and parking is available onsite for cars and motorcycles, and bikes. We are 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro system bus stop, and that is 20 minutes away from the nearest Metro station. I have not owned a car since 2017 because of the excellent public transit. For less than $1.00US you can use the bus/Metro to get from one end of the city to the other. If you are short on time, public taxis, Uber and Didi transportation options are plentiful and cheap. In Medellin, on street parking is extremely limited, and there are parking fees everywhere, even at the malls. We would be happy to accompany you on your first Metro trip to show you how easy the system is to use.
Domestic flights, (outside of major national holidays) are very affordable, with a recent roundtrip airfare to Bogota $50, including a carryon. The small, domestic airport is located next to the city of Medellin. It is still a small, old-fashioned, low key airport. You walk out to the plane through some beautiful gardens.
