We enjoyed our visit to the hill country. Staying out of town was a bonus. The house was comfortable. Our favorite spot was the deck where we watched the birds, squirrels and deer. We were pleased to find that a neighbor had a Texas flag very near our place to turn. We definitely would love like to make a return visit.

Lovely house and area. We will go back. Putting a cover on the back porch to prevent bird poop from getting in the chairs would be nice. Other than that, the place was wonderful.

I believe everyone in the “window” of the total solar eclipse jacked their prices that week knowing how many people would be visiting. The rate compared to others that I have visited just as luxurious, would have been lower. This rate compared to others available during eclipse week was probably right in line with them. If prices for all of the cabins/houses in this area stay jacked up, I’ll find other accommodations and visit less frequently.
