Like the rest of Cobb County, the area now containing Acworth was carved out of the former Cherokee Nation in 1831 after the natives were expelled. Cauble Park opens at 6:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. Rental facilities include four pavilions, a lakeside gazebo, and a beach house. Ride share available nearby along with public transportation.
