Ratchaphruek (Wutthakat) sits in Thonburi district, a neighbourhood is known for an epic local foodie and artistic scene. This riverside neighbourhood can be commuted via BTS, MRT and boat, which is often a faster and more authentic way to see the city.

There are many areas worth to explore that not many tourists know.
Here are some examples to experience locals;
1. EAT LIKE LOCALS
Talat Phlu Station (1 BTS stations from us)
There is a handful of legend restaurants worth browsing, and it is much cheaper than the luxurious malls downtown. All restaurants in the list below have been operated for more than 50 years. This is the perfect area for you to experience and eat like locals beside a railway.

There is also a road called, Soi Chai Boonmee, that lets visitors get a glimpse of local Thai nightlife, and a handful of drinking venues so local that the names are not written in English.

- Artist’s House (7 min drive from us): a creative hub located in an over 200-year-old house where people can come to work and catch a traditional Thai puppet show while sipping a cup of coffee. The home is equipped with a unique gift shop.

3. SHOPPING
It’s effortless and traffic-free to travel to these famous shopping spots;
ASIATIQUE AND ICON SIAM.
There is free boat shuttle service from Sathorn Pier (Saphan Takin Station)
The shopping malls nearby;
- Seacon Bangkae: 10mins drive
- Icon Siam: 10mins drive

4. River Experience
- Grand Palace (5 stations to Sapan Taksin Station); take a boat from Sathorn pier and enjoy Bangkok river view before going off on Tha Chang.
- Chinatown: 5 stops from Sathorn pier to Ratchawongs Pier where the biggest Chinatown is
- Dinner cruises during sunset: 3 stops from Sathorn pier to Si Phraya Pier

Getting around this area or going downtown is super easy.
BTS Wuttakat s only 8 mins walk and MRT Bang Wa Station is only 1 stops away, which could take you to any place without facing any traffic or even go further with boats. Plus, the advantage of being in this station is that there will be available seats on trains anytime since we are the first station of the line.
Also, you can also take a Taxi (or call GRAB) to places. This is another simple and easy way to travel as well.
