The James Suite is a 2 bedroom, 1-bathroom condo (sleeps 4) located in historic Ghent. This beautifully restored building is located near great restaurants, downtown Norfolk, CHKD, EVMS, Norfolk General, and a short drive to Virginia Beach and Ocean View Beach. Every detail has been taken care of to make this a comfortable and unique stay. Available for monthly rental only. All utilities included in monthly rent *Strict no party or event policy. See house rules below for more information* Bedroom 1: First bedroom has a King size bed Bedroom 2: Second Bedroom has a King size bed *There is no ramp or elevator in this house. There are a total of one full bathroom that is fully equipped with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The living room has ample space for relaxation and has a 55"" Smart TV with cable and high-speed wifi. The full kitchen is equipped for all of your cooking needs and has a range with oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and all cooking utensils and dining ware needed.

Excellent place. Very pleased.
The place looked mostly as listed aesthetically. The night we went there was a college party in the building. Loud music, pretty sure there was a fight, lots of screaming and slamming of doors…the walls are paper thin. The door in the kitchen did not give me safety vibes but that may just be preference. The place seemed clean initially, but the towels were super dingy (found hair on a face towel and a body towel), there was hair on the shower wall and on the floor. I found a pair of kids jeans under the dresser in one of the of the rooms, looked under and found more trash. The blankets and sheets were very thin and not very comfortable. Some of the doors wouldn’t close, and the bathroom door wouldn’t open from the inside (until I figured out the trick, push then twist). Although I wouldn’t stay here again, if they did a better job with cleaning and maybe invested in better linens and changed towels with all or most guests, it could be nice for a younger guests.
