Killala Loft is away from the crowd, nestled in the hills with views of the Barham River Valley and only 6 kms from beaches, shops and restaurants of Apollo Bay. Who could ask for more! We are on 40 acres, with Sheep and Alpacas grazing close by. Wildlife and birds are also our neighbours with Koalas often lounging in the trees nearby. A place to recuperate, rest and rejuvenate amongst peace and beauty. Killala Loft is 2 story and suitable for 2 people with a Queen bed on the first floor up a spiral staircase. There is also a single pull out bed on the first floor available for a 3rd person. Killala Loft is not suitable for children under 12 years old. There are spaces to sit and relax on the first floor including a smart TV, with internet access. A balcony provides a place to sit and smoking is permitted here but not inside. There is a reverse air conditioner to heat or cool this floor. On the ground floor is a small kitchenette equipped with an induction cooktop, convection microwave, fridge with freezer, kettle, espresso coffee machine and toaster. Crockery, cutlery and cookware are provided for your use. We offer cereal, milk, juice, coffee, tea and sugar with some popular herbs and oil as a complimentary welcome. Shopping is recommended to do prior to arrival as once you arrive you will want to stay to soak up the atmosphere. Also on the ground floor there is a 2 seater couch and small wood heater. Firewood is provided. A bathroom adjacent to this room has a shower. All linen and towels are provided ( including beach towels). There is a washer/ dryer in the kitchenette. A small outside sitting area provides a great place to sit and watch the sun set. You can smoke in this outside area.

We had a wonderful stay at Killala Loft. Kim & her husband are great hosts, easy to communicate with and helpful in every respect: booking was a breeze and Kim’s place matched its description exactly. Clever design and exquisite craftsmanship are everywhere to be seen in this beautifully presented, and very comfortable, property. Enjoying the ebb & flow of the quiet country location was relaxing, yet with the convenience of being just six kilometres out of Apollo Bay. We stayed for two nights as a base for day trips on the Great Ocean Road. Killala Loft has some stairs, as the name implies, that need negotiating. Also, the last 2.3 km of dirt road is in pretty good condition, but you do need to drive it carefully as it is narrow, windy and full of wildlife. Just take Kim’s advice about driving it. Accommodation tucked away in the Hills within short drive from Apollo bay town centre. Absolutely stunning property overlooking rolling hills and gullys. Amenities were very modern. Would be very cosy in the cooler months thanks to the fireplace and wall heater in the bathroom. Also has heating in the loft/upstairs. Plenty of information in booklet provided inside for all amenities and local information. Kim was an amazing host. Very kind and generous, prompt with responding to any messages, and overall great informative communication regarding our stay. Greeted us at the gate upon arrival and explained everything we needed to know before leaving us to do as we pleased. overall a really great experience. would most definitely book again.
My partner and I stayed here over the Easter long weekend, Kim was very welcoming and we loved being 10 mins out of town and up in the hills away from the Easter crowds. The cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, it was beautifully laid out, clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone planning a trip to Apollo Bay!

The area is very tranquil and a perfect get away.
Apollo Bay is only a 6 kms drive away. The road to Killala Loft is a narrow gravel road so please drive slowly as it is 2 way. Koalas and Wallabies also utilise the road.
