Cartrefle is a really beautiful home from home. The decor is stunning and it's a perfect mix of old and new. It was absolutely spotless and had everything you could possibly need. The house itself is deceptively big. We were a group of four adults (2 couples) and I think it would have comfortably fit another couple in with no issues. There are four bathrooms in the house, one downstairs, 2 ensuites and one bathroom. The living room has a gorgeous log burner and a chest full of games for rainy day fun. We were able to control the heating which was great and it was lovely and warm throughout our stay - the weather was less than desirable! There is space at the back of the house for two cars and it feels like a really safe area. The main bed is HUGE and so comfortable. No expense spared when it comes to soft furnishing etc. Highly recommend Cartrefle for a break away from home. It was perfect for New Year and we would love to return. Megan and Emma were amazing too! Thank you both! x
What a fantastic place to stay! Emma and Megan were brilliant at communicating and made the whole stay extremely relaxing. The house has been beautifully renovated. Three bedroom places can sometimes feel a bit too cosy for a stay with two teenagers but this place is beautifully set out to mean everyone had their space. It was lovely to be able to have local friends around for dinner… the space worked perfectly! Only issue was no blinds in the master bedroom which meant a bit of logistics planning with lights and changing, and also earlier starts than planned, but Emma responded quickly when I contacted to asking if I had missed anything obvious with them and reassured me they are all ordered just a delay in delivery. We will definitely return!
This is a really lovely cottage in a great location in my favourite Welsh village. It was very warm and beautifully decorated throughout… not too modern, not too old fashioned. Really love place.
