Hands down, one of the best adventures of my entire life. Is it a more rustic environment? Yes it is, but it has everything you need to be comfortable. The adventure starts at the ferry terminal where you’ll be greeted by a member of the kindest family I’ve ever met. After that it’s a couple mile ride down the beach to the houses. When we arrived there we instantly felt at home. Alison brought us on a mangrove tour. Jorge brought us out fishing one day and then prepared our catch for dinner. Alison and Jorge gave us a lesson on how to make the most delicious ceviche I’d ever had. At 9 the 3rd night my son spiked a fever and needed a medication I didn’t bring. Alison and Jorge didn’t hesitate to jump in the truck, hop on the ferry, and run to town to pick some up. We were total strangers a few days before but they didn’t hesitate to help my family, and I’ll never forget it. If you’re lucky enough to find vacancy here you should book it. You’ll be off the beaten path but in good hands.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our Christmas experience was at Alison's place. Our group was 4 adults, 3 older teenagers, and 5 kids from 9 years to 13. Perfect! Alison rocked her communication with us, particularly organizing transportation. We left our cars in the ferry parking lot and Jorge (her dad) shuttled us back and forth across the island...he was always prompt and a FUN guide on the drive. She also had great recommendations of things to do and was happy to help with reservations. The houses here are simple, yet stunning, hand-crafted homes. The pictures are accurate and the place is super clean (sand management is a thing). We had a resident parrot come visit our shower! We were lucky to meet much of Alison's family. We had plenty of privacy, but her parents were close by if we needed anything and they were happy to chat or show us around the property. Jorge helped us use the wood-fired grill to cook Christmas dinner and offered a crab hunt and bonfire on the beach

The trip of a life time! What a beautiful place to vacation. I could rave about it for days. Starting with the amazing guidance that got us to the location. We were helped every step of the way! We were assured and helped by people who know exactly what they are doing. My family an I were treated so well from the moment we arrived to the parking lot. Everything was so well organized by Alison. Keeping in mind that we were a very big party with different arrival times, they were so patient and well organized. I was so happy to know that there were no hiccups along the way thanks to the impeccable planning and organization of the Hosts. The second thing that made this trip a 'Must See' was the location and the beautiful area and houses provided. what a beautiful secluded beach and what a gorgeous houses! My family and I were so happy with the accommodations. The Hosts did everythingto make us feel comfortable and to make our trip formidable. Third and most importantly, and I cannot stress this enough, the hospitality was the most beautiful display of Costa Rican hospitality you could EVER find. The Hosts were so kind, generous, gracious, ahhh I cannot even express with words how much of a difference that made for us. This level of genuine hospitality cannot be find in a hotel. It is what Costa Rica should be known for, the love and time that was invested in us made us feel so welcomed. The way we were cared for was formidable and it elevated our experience to unimaginable heights. All I can say is THANK YOU! Thank you for giving us such a magical experience, we can't wait to come back!
