Such a beautiful location and the kids absolutely loved exploring the yard. I will say that the house echoes, but there were fans available for white noise which we deeply appreciated. Was definitely a lifesaver with two kiddos running around! Would absolutely come back for an anniversary trip when it’s just hubby and I!
What an incredible stay! Would highly recommend!! This was the needed peaceful getaway we needed.
A great house for families, the enclosed back porch was great for the kids. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. The hot tub was great after a busy day. its also very easy to drive into town.
The positives: This cabin felt very cozy, very much like 'home'. The children gravitated towards the window seat in the den, they loved to read under blankets in that area throughout our stay. The kitchen and dining room were very clean, and functional. All of these spaces worked for our family of six. The rental company was also very quick to respond to several questions we had throughout our stay. The negatives: The noise from the street (the home looked much more private/secluded in the photos online), and the noise within the home were definite drawbacks. The bedrooms were all very close together, and if one person had to get up during the night everyone tended to wake up with them. Overall, I think this home would work best for smaller groups of people that appreciate being close to downtown Hood River- but don't mind a noisy environment.
We thought it was a very cute and clean rental. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. If we come back to Hood River will will use this rental again, if available.
