The TA Ranch is 13 miles south of Buffalo Wyoming and is centered in the middle of the history of the American West. This is where Native American History and Cattle Country crossed and clashed, and you see it all within 120 miles. The Bozeman trail crosses the Northeast corner of our 8,00 acres, the bloodiest crossing of the Bozeman trail can be seen from our bluffs where tipi rings/sun worship circles scatter the ground. Were these Native American Sites used to scout and attack the Bozeman trail? The Battle of Little Big Horn National Park is a scant 119 miles north, while the wagon box fight and other prominent Native American battles are within 45 miles of the TA Ranch. The TA Ranch was built during the Cattleman's Era, just following the Native American era. The TA Ranch is the site of the Johnson County Cattle War, a battle which determined that fate of the American West permanently.

The best way to visit the TA Ranch is by car, although transportation to and from the ranch can be arranged. We recommend bringing a car because we find most guests like having the freedom to explore the area at will. Parking is included in all prices, there is no extra fee for parking.
