This is an amazing place - architecturally impressive with windows in every room (excluding toilet room). The views are endless, the beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Close to trails and great restaurants. I highly recommend this home.

Truly an exceptional stay. There is a little delight to be found around every corner. Each day, even after a full week at the house, we would discover little nuggets of thoughtfulness in the design of the home. It is impeccable and Melissa was a kind, responsive, thoughtful host. I hope To make it back here again in this life. Kia ora!

By far the most memorable place we ever experienced with AirBnB. Melissa is very responsive. The house is nothing less than a picture perfect.

My wife and I stayed at, what I might say is one of the top AirBnB's I've stayed at in the world, for over a week in late summer. It can be difficult the find the perfect, private location with an amazing view and room to spread out. What is almost unheard of is a modestly sized, modern-designed house with attention to detail (finishes, fixtures, appliances, furniture, BEDS!) and just an overall cool space to be in. I am going to lobby AirBnB to include a search filter for 'cedar hot tubs only' since I am now spoiled by the not one, but two, at Melissa's place. We ended up deeming the north hot tub, the morning spot, while the southern one was clearly the best for night time star gazing. Privacy? Yes! We didn't hear or see anyone while we were there. That, while some of the best wineries in all of New Zealand, a great food market and A-T Park are all within 30 minutes of the house.

Melissa's home left us without words when we walked through the door and saw the magnificent view through the glass doors. The space is well laid out with thoughtful doors to each outdoor space and lovely details like the hidden bench (perfect for sunrise), meditation space (gorgeous at sunset) and fantastic outdoor living/kitchen/dining. With only a 30 minute drive to the national park, it made it really easy to catch an early morning boat and be back for a dip in the pool / hot tub to soothe some tired legs! Beds were super comfy too. Melissa was a great host to deal with, friendly, helpful and responsive (including to help us figure out the fab technology which was actually really easy once we knew what to do).
