Enjoy the view of Taos Mountain from this 2900 sq. ft. 2 story custom built adobe style home. Step back in time as you as you watch the sunset over the many historical buildings in Historic Ranchos De Taos. Wake up and have your coffee in the sanctuary like courtyard, shaded by the branches of the globe willow. Spend the evening sipping wine or tea next to a fire in the kiva. Stargaze from the second story deck or turn on the string bulbs and enjoy views of the sunset with friends This home has large vigas from Taos Pueblo, high ceilings and thick plaster walls. It has a large bathtub for two and a mother in law style area with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hot water pot and toaster oven that is easy to close off from the rest of the main house. A grass and flagstone covered courtyard with a built in fireplace and dining area greet you when entering the house. There is an insert fireplace and radiant heat to keep you warm in the colder months. The rear entrance of the house has a lawn separated from the main courtyard by a low adobe wall. The bathrooms in the original part of the house have new mexico styled tile showers. The second story deck has a sun shade and a dining area with a couch, chairs and a coffee table.

I can’t describe how perfect our stay was. The house was everything we wanted and needed - peaceful, beautifully decorated, and felt elevated but also homey. Tim and Chessa were both very responsive and friendly in their communication and answered all of my questions. If, and when, we come back to Taos we will be staying here again!

Our stay in this stunning Taos home was absolutely magical. From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt right at home. The attention to detail in the decor was incredible, with every corner revealing a new piece of charm. The home was spotless, and the comfortable furnishings and bedding ensured we were all so cozy. The house felt so homey and lived in, not an empty airbnb box! One of the highlights was the well-equipped kitchen, which felt like it had everything and more. The location was perfect - close enough to town yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood that allowed us to truly unwind. We took advantage of the outdoor spaces, dogs playing in the yard, enjoying cocktails on the patio and stargazing in the evening. We can't wait to return to this enchanting retreat in Taos! Thanks for having us!
Everything about this place was simply perfect. The location is easy to find and just as described. The home is so well appointed. There was an abundance of cooking pots, pans, utensils, dishes, spices, etc. There was nothing we truly would have needed to bring for the kitchen. The space is decorated so beautifully with wonderful art and sculptures, which gave its such a homey feel unlike some other airbnbs that don't have anything on the walls or decorations. The furniture was not only comfortable but looked great in the space. The whole house has plenty of space for our large group. The kitchen table was a wonderful gathering space to break bread as well as converse and play games. The views of the mountains from the deck as well as just out front were breathtaking. Its a bit of a bird haven as they have put out bird feeders all around and it was a nice touch to see them throughout the day. Tim and Chessa were so responsive. The home is located in Llano Quemado which is part of the Historic Ranchos De Taos. It is one of the oldest Spanish settlements in the Taos area. Next door to the East is the Fernandez Hacienda and has one of the oldest shepherds kitchens in the country. There is a small Catholic Church across the street from the hacienda which can be viewed from our courtyard and deck making authentic New Mexican sunrises and sunsets. The Saint Francis de Assisi located in the Ranchos Plaza can be seen from the deck as well. This church has been the center of Ranchos De Taos community for centuries and is still cared for by the community today. Artist such as Georgia O’Keefe and Ansel Adams have been among the many paint and photograph this beautiful church.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS. Turn east from state rd 68 onto state highway 382 and take your second right at the end of a stonewall in about a 1/4mi. Then turn right into the second driveway on the right after opening big wood gates into 9 Hill Top.
